Junior Scholars Preschool is a preparatory care and education centre that offers parents a first-rate alternative to Montessori instruction and standard day care services.
While we recognize that true Montessori programs and some day care services meet the particular requirements of certain families, we believe, due to our own experiences as parents, and after much investigation and reflection on the subject, there was not enough access for parents and children to high-quality children’s care and education. As responsible children’s educators and caregivers, and most certainly as loving parents, we understand and are familiar with the short and long-term benefits of supporting our children with a conscientious social environment with other children. After exceeding the needs and expectations of families for more than eight years, serving as childcare administrators in the community better known as Applewood Acres in Mississauga, we decided, as part of our personal commitment to constant and never-ending improvement, to expand our high-quality program to this most excellent family community. We have toured, investigated and reviewed well over fifty schools and institutions, public, private and otherwise so that we can see decisively and confidently that we are responsibly providing an exclusive and matchless program for selective and particular parents.
Our school’s principle is based on a cognative-interactionist method which emphasizes an environment that is entirely child-based, a program that encourages independent discovery through the inclusion of teacher-directed play opportunities. Recreation and play is an excellent vehicle for learning and enjoyment. 
At Junior Scholars Preschool we understand that the union between the enchanting liberty of childhood and the world of play flawlessly compliment one another and encourages the child’s need for freedom to explore, discover, and actively learn. Certainly, our classes are arranged and uphold a certain measure of order. However, we promote and give confidence daily to your individual child’s emotional, behavioral and social progress. As a smaller school we are fortunate to capture the exclusive impression of a family. Each classroom is designed and arranged to communicate a distinctive feel of comfort and ease, while at the same time remaining a clean, organized, educational backdrop for child learning.
